Cardinal Pell: Some Thoughts
Dr Pravin Thevathasan
The psychological profile of the alleged behaviour is all wrong. A person who undertakes the high risk behaviour that is alleged is very unlikely not to be a repeat offender. More typically, the clergy sex abuser grooms his victim. He befriends the family etc. It is all carefully planned. Ultimately, it is the word of one alleged victim against the word of Pell. The alleged victim
admits to having been under the effects of alcohol at the time. Could this be the greatest sham trial since that of Cardinal Mindszenty? |
